We started by chatting with actual users to see what has been working, and not working, about Adobe Learning. They told us that one of their frustrations was that the instructive content was too simple or too complicated. This leads to user disengagement, something Adobe wants to avoid. Additionally, users found most of their educational content on YouTube, not directly on Adobe.
Adobe x Frame.io
With Frame.io now integrated into Adobe's suite, there’s an opportunity to imagine how users learn and collaborate within this ecosystem.
As part of Adobe’s ongoing innovation, we proposed the creation of Dynamic Learning Paths specifically for Frame.io. This initiative focuses on meeting the individual needs of users more effectively.
Our key insight:
Across filmmakers and content creators, there was a consensus on the need for personalized and adaptable learning resources. There’s a shift towards a learner-centered approach, where education is dynamically tailored to meet individual user goals.
Kick it off with an Initial Assessment.
First, users seek content that precisely matches their current skill level. It's important that they aren't overwhelmed or underwhelmed. We're proposing an Initial Assessment that gauges the user's current skills, objectives, and learning style, through interactive tasks and quizzes.
As users progress through their learning journey, the educational content they are fed will be adaptive. Instead of following strict coursework, courses will be offered to the user using AI and machine learning. This creates a more dynamic user experience, leading to higher engagement.
Machine learning models can dynamically adjust the difficulty level, type of content (visual, textual, interactive), and topics covered based on the user's progress. If a user excels in basic tasks, the AI will recommend more advanced concepts or suggest branching into related skill areas. AI can provide anticipatory guidance using predictive learning, similar to a tutor.
Empower each user to be an educator.
Look at the world around us. Everyone is an influencer and an expert on something. Adobe has over 33 million paid users, many of whom are already Adobe suite experts.
Adobe can empower each user to become an educator within the community. By providing the tools for users to create and share their own tutorials, project walkthroughs, and creative tips, Adobe can tap into the diverse expertise and experiences within its user base.
Fostering the creator community will further drive engagement. We want users to consider using Adobe for learning resources, not YouTube. This peer-to-peer learning model enriches the available resources and fosters a more engaged, collaborative, and supportive learning environment.
Let's get personal.
Education is most effective when it's deeply personal. This claim is literally backed by science.
By embracing and integrating the Adobe community with new AI tools, a user's learning journey can be accompanied by insightful feedback from AI and peers within the Adobe community. This multidimensional feedback mechanism ensures that learners have precisely the support they need.
Additionally, a gamified learning experience will improve engagement. Motivation thrives on recognition and rewards (according to research). Gamification elements like badges for completed courses, leaderboards for friendly competition, and achievements for significant milestones can make the learning experience more fun and drive customer loyalty.
What are Dynamic Learning Paths?
The implementation of Dynamic Learning Paths in Adobe Learning:
Personalizes Learning
User engagement is enhanced by personalizing learning experiences tailored to individual skill levels and interests.
Promotes User Success & Retention
Learning outcomes are re-evaluated constantly, and real-time feedback and adaptive learning paths will mean more time spent using Adobe's creativity tools.
Empowers Community Educators
Empowering users to become educators enhances community collaboration and fosters a thriving network of learners. This approach generates more user-created content, addressing the limitations of 'one-size-fits-all' educational materials.
Boosts Learning Motivation
Badges, leaderboards, and other gamification elements create a positive feedback loop that motivates users to engage deeply with Adobe Learning tools.
